04/01/2024
A heuristic report is the breakdown of a heuristic analysis, which is intended to assess the useablity of a products 'user interface' or broader 'user experience' with the goal of identifying issues and advantages with the intent to correct the former and optimise the latter.

Within this report I broke down the (former) student game Ifrit (a linear light-based puzzle game). into five concise points, anylsing how well the current product had met the following heurstic points:

H1 - Goals are within player proximity and give responsive feedback immediately
H2 - Puzzle mechanics are introduced step by step
H3 - Gameplay exists in the present moment, not requiring backtracking
H4 - Puzzles are presented using perspective to prompt observation
H5 - Puzzles are taught in multiple formats, using textual prompts consistently
